How estimates work, how recurring mowing is scheduled, and what we need to know about your yard before the first visit.
- How do I get an estimate?
- Fill out the estimate form with your service address, a short description of your lawn, and how often you would like it mowed. We use those details to put together a quote for your property. There is no charge for requesting an estimate.
- Do I have to commit to a recurring schedule?
- No. You can ask about a weekly rotation, a biweekly rotation, or a one-time cut. Tell us what you have in mind in the form and we will quote what you ask for.
- What is the difference between weekly and biweekly mowing?
- Weekly mowing removes less growth at a time and keeps a more even look, which many lawns prefer in peak spring growth. Biweekly mowing means more growth between visits, so the cut is heavier and clippings are usually thicker. Either can work depending on your lawn and how it is growing.
- Do you need access to the backyard?
- Yes, if the backyard is part of the service. Please let us know about gates, gate widths, latches, or codes in the lawn details field so we can tell whether our equipment fits and plan the route.
- What about pets and gates?
- Please keep pets indoors or off the lawn on service days, and let us know in advance if a gate needs to stay closed behind us. Mention anything we should know about pets in the form so it is on the record before the first visit.
- What happens when it rains?
- Wisconsin weather moves mowing around. Mowing saturated turf can rut the lawn and tear the grass, so visits may shift within the week when there is heavy rain or standing water. We will let you know when your visit moves.
- What do you do with the grass clippings?
- Clippings are normally left on the lawn, where they break down and return nutrients to the soil, and we blow hard surfaces clean before leaving. If you would rather have clippings bagged, note that in your estimate request.
- Is my address in your service area?
- We serve West Bend, Barton, Jackson, Newburg, Kewaskum, Slinger, and nearby Washington County communities. If you are close to that area, send the address in the form and we will tell you whether we can reach it.
- Do you have a shop I can stop by?
- No. West Bend Lawn Co. is a mobile service business, so there is no storefront or office to visit. Everything starts with the estimate form.
